Terms of Service
Last updated: 8 June 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of ADHDTasker — the family chore-and-rewards app, websites, and related services (together, "the Service", "we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Who we are
ADHDTasker is operated by its publisher, based in Queensland, Australia. You can reach us at support@adhdtasker.com.
2. Eligibility & accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old to create a parent/owner account, and you must have the authority to accept these Terms on behalf of your household.
- Parents and guardians are responsible for setting up and managing child profiles, for supervising children's use of the Service, and for all activity under their family account.
- You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials and any profile PINs secure, and for all activity that occurs under your account.
- You agree that the information you provide is accurate and that you will keep it up to date.
3. The Service
ADHDTasker lets families create tasks, assign points based on effort and time, track completion and approvals, and offer rewards within the family. The Service is provided to help organise household responsibilities; it is not a substitute for your own judgement about what is appropriate for your family.
The Service is under active development and may currently be offered on a free or beta basis. We may add, change, suspend, or remove features at any time.
4. Points & rewards
- Points and balances within ADHDTasker are a virtual, in-app scorekeeping feature. They have no monetary value, are not currency, and cannot be purchased from us, redeemed for cash, or transferred outside your family.
- Rewards are defined, approved, and fulfilled entirely by members of your family. We are not a party to, and are not responsible for, any reward, promise, or arrangement made between family members.
- Parents are responsible for honouring any rewards they choose to offer.
5. Paid features
The Service is currently free to use. If we introduce paid plans or features in the future, the applicable pricing and any additional terms will be presented to you before you purchase, and your use of those features will be subject to them.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in breach of these Terms;
- attempt to access data belonging to families or accounts that are not yours;
- probe, scan, disrupt, overload, or attempt to bypass the security of the Service;
- reverse engineer, copy, or create derivative works of the Service except where permitted by law;
- upload content that is illegal, harmful, harassing, or infringes the rights of others; or
- misrepresent your identity or affiliation.
7. Your content
You retain ownership of the content you enter (such as task titles, notes, profile names, and rewards). You grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, process, and display that content solely to operate and provide the Service to your family. You are responsible for the content you enter and for ensuring you have the right to enter it.
8. Third-party services
The Service runs on Google Firebase and Google Cloud and uses Google Sign-In. Your use of those features is also subject to Google's terms. We are not responsible for third-party services we do not control.
9. Privacy
Our handling of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
10. Availability & "as is"
We aim to keep the Service available and reliable, but we do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data will never be lost. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
11. Consumer guarantees
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy you may have under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable law that cannot lawfully be excluded. Where our liability for breach of such a guarantee can be limited, it is limited (at our option) to re-supplying the Service or paying the cost of having it re-supplied.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, and subject to the section above, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service.
13. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us against claims, losses, and costs arising from your misuse of the Service or your breach of these Terms, to the extent permitted by law.
14. Suspension & termination
You may stop using the Service at any time and request deletion of your account as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or to protect the Service or its users. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (such as content licences already granted, disclaimers, and limitations of liability) will survive.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date above and, where appropriate, communicated in the app or by email. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
16. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that State.
